Hairspray

Based on the 1988 film of the same name, the smash hit musical Hairspray is back! Having received eight Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards, Hairspray is set to return to the West End for a limited run at the London Coliseum. Starring Michael Ball as Edna Turnblad, directed by Jack O’Brien and with choreography by Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots), this performance will not disappoint!

Set in 1960s Baltimore, Hairspray tells the story of Tracy Turnblad, a girl with big hair and an even bigger dream to dance on her favourite TV show. Tracy’s audition transforms her into a local star and she uses her new celebrity status to campaign for equality, meeting teen heartthrob Link Larkin along the way. With music by Marc Shaiman, Hairspray features recognisable tracks such as Good Morning Baltimore, Welcome to the 60s and You Can’t Stop the Beat that are guaranteed to have you dancing in your seat!
